Is this legal or tax advice?
No. PeppolKit is software that creates invoices based on common EU VAT rules. You remain responsible for your own records. If in doubt, have your accountant check your settings.
Does it work with my accountant, Exact or Moneybird?
PeppolKit produces a standard UBL file (Peppol BIS Billing 3.0). Many accounting packages can import UBL. We have no official integrations, so check with your own package or accountant that the import works.
How do I know my invoices are correct?
Every invoice goes through the same official checks the Peppol network uses when it is created: the European standard EN 16931 and the OpenPeppol BIS Billing 3.0 rules. The app shows per invoice whether it passed. If an invoice fails, you see exactly which rule and why. Invoices to consumers do not go over Peppol; we check those against the European standard.
What if VIES is offline?
PeppolKit retries straight away a few times. If it still fails, the invoice charges VAT and you get a notice in the app so you can review it.
Does PeppolKit send invoices over the Peppol network?
Not yet. Today you get the UBL file to share or import. Sending through a partner's Peppol access point is coming soon.
Where is my data stored?
With a hosting provider in the EU. See the privacy statement (Dutch).
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. Remove the app in Shopify and the subscription ends. Download your invoices first if you want to keep them outside Shopify.
